Cab fare to La Puntilla is approximately $20.00 - $25.00 US, from the airport or downtown.  Always negotiate the cost of the cab up front as there are no meters.  The taxi stand at the airport can tell you how much the cab will be before getting in.  Let the taxi stand person know that the house is between Bucerias and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.  When you turn off the Highway 200 to La Cruz tell him LA PUNTILLA.

To take the bus to the house from the airport, cross the bridge (walkway over the road ) and wait at the bottom of the stairs for the Compostela bus.  The bus will stop for you.  Take a bus that has "La Cruz" or "Punta Mita" written across the front windshield.

If you are driving, there is a new 4 lane highway all the way to La Cruz.  From the Airport, follow the signs to Highway 200 or Compostella to Tepic.  You will drive about  22 kms (15 miles) or 20 minutes to the house.  Complete directions will be provided with your arrival documents, once your final payment has been received.

Map of Banderas Bay Note location of the airport (white dotted strip) between light green of Marina Vallarta and magenta of Nuevo Vallarta.

La Puntilla is located just past the border of Bucerias (blue) and North Coast (orange).

The driving time between Punta de Mita, the most westerly point on the Bay (orange zone of the north coast) and Mismaloya (south Vallarta, darker green zone) is approximately 90 minutes, depending on traffic.

Banderas Bay (Bay of Flags) is a horseshoe-shaped bay theorized to have been formed by an ancient volcanic crater.  Banderas Bay measures nearly 20 miles across with over 40 miles of coastline and is considered one of the deepest bays in the world with depths of up to two miles.  With its deep, calm waters, Banderas Bay offers some of the best sport fishing in the world. Humpback whales, dolphins, sea turtles and giant mantarays are also inhabitants.

There are 19 privately owned luxury homes at La Puntilla and Casa de Tres Palmas, #8-A is one of ten homes located on the water.  There is a wide palm lined common area between the ocean and the ten oceanfront homes, and a wide, well manicured green space between the cobblestone roadway and the nine ocean view homes at the rear.
