Cab
fare to
La Puntilla is approximately $30.00
- $45.00 US, from the
airport or downtown--depending on the size of your group and the number of
suitcases, Always negotiate the cost of the cab up front
as there
are no meters. The taxi stand at the airport can tell you how much the cab
will be before getting in. Let the taxi stand person know that the house
is between Bucerias and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.
When you turn off
the Highway 200 to La Cruz tell the driver you
are going to LA PUNTILLA.
To
take the bus to the house from the airport,
cross the
bridge (walkway over the road ) and wait at the
bottom of the stairs for the bus and
the bus will stop for you. Take a
bus that has "La Cruz" or "Punta Mita"
written across the front windshield.
If you are driving, there is a
new 4 lane highway all
the way to La Cruz. From the Airport, follow the signs to Highway
200 or Compostella to Tepic. You will drive about 22 kms (15
miles) or 20 minutes to the house. Complete directions will be
provided with your arrival documents, once your final payment has been
received.

just
past the border of Bucerias (blue)
and North Coast (orange).
The
driving time between Punta de Mita,
the most westerly point on the Bay
(orange zone of the north coast)
and Mismaloya
(south Vallarta, darker green
zone)
is approximately 90 minutes,
depending on traffic.
Banderas Bay
(Bay of Flags) is a horseshoe-shaped bay theorized to have been formed by an
ancient volcanic crater. Banderas Baymeasures nearly 20 miles
across with over 40 miles of coastline and is considered one of the deepest bays
in the world with depths of up to two miles. With its deep, calm waters, Banderas
Bay offers some of the best sport fishing in the world. Humpback
whales, dolphins, sea turtles and giant mantarays are also
inhabitants.
